The short version: I’m going to be doing some more experiments in relation to health and fitness. And first off, I’m going to go without sugar. In particular, the refined kind. The stuff that sends kids crazy. The stuff that I have been known to have straight out of a satchel pack at coffee shops. The stuff that is in just about everything! And I would like you to follow my results here on Facebook or tweets, so you can discover as I do, learning through my experiences. Continue below for the longer version
(As he pauses writing to take a drink of his iced coffee, no sugar there right?)
That’s right this is going to be tough. Now some of you may say that it won’t be tough at all, but this is written for all those that are addicted to sugar and those who are that don’t even realise it. You see I have a very unrefined palette when it comes to food. In fact, if any of you are familiar with Warren Buffet’s culinary habits, he seems to share similar tastes to me. He is reported to eat simple foods, not a lot of greens or “flashy” foods. I am not only not a foodie, but I’m bored by food. If I could get my food as a pill, I would be stoked.
Now in this day and age foods are loaded with sugars, salts, and preservatives. And given my narrow scope of foods I like and my need for speed, most of the foods I like tend to be packaged and unhealthy. Anyway, that is enough about me, I say all of that only to give you some context for my challenge, and for those with similar habits to be able to relate and take interest in the results.
So what I would like to achieve from this are some results that you can take away and use for your own benefit. My goal with any of my experiments and challenges is to learn by testing on myself (and willing subjects) what works and what doesn’t and bring it to you, so you can fast track your results by learning through my experiences.
The first experiment will be a 7-day duration to see exactly what effect that has and also what everyday challenges you must face to implement the idea. From there I will look at taking on longer time periods without sugar.
Here’s what I need:
I would like to build an audience of interested people so that I am not the only one learning from this. I feel like there is so much rubbish out there in regard to nutrition and health, because the information is generally commercially driven. I am not selling anything to do with this, so my hope is that I can bring you a higher quality of information.
Here’s what is in it for you:
You will gather information from my experiences that will hopefully add to both your effectiveness and efficiency. And if you are needing support in achieving a better or at least healthier lifestyle, it is better to do it with someone else, and hopefully, my blog posts and tweets will provide that motivation and timely support for you. Also, I think some of you will be surprised where sugar actually is in your diet, so it may help you decide on food choices and the effects they are having on the way you operate each day.
Speak to you soon.
